Password Manager XP is a light and easy-to-use software tool whose major purpose is to store and keep secure your sensitive information - such as passwords, user names, credit card numbers, codes, and similar information - through the use of encrypted databases. Besides, the program also includes additional related tools, like a password generator.
The program's main interface is pretty clear and practical. It provides a panel where you can manage your registered databases, allowing you to open any of them or create new ones. It comes with a sample database that helps you to understand how the program works and how the databases are structured in no time. Every database you have is password-protected, and it will allow you to save all kinds of personal information in a hierarchical way. You can create folders and subfolders to properly organize your information, where you can add and store new records that you can then manage in a separate panel. By default, a folder inherits its parent's fields and structure, but you can customize it and add new fields or delete existing ones.
But, as I said, the program also includes additional tools and functionality. For example, it can be installed on a removable device (e.g., a flash memory) so that you can run it anywhere; and includes a useful password generator, a separate module that allows you to easily create passwords - one at a time - with the length of your choice, with upper and/or lower case letters, with digits and special symbols, or with custom and exclusion characters. You can even select a password template. more
